A Practice Built Around Well-Considered Programmes
Provenance was founded on a simple observation: the legal sector convenes often, but rarely with the depth of preparation that practitioners deserve.
← Back to HomeHow Provenance Came to Be
Provenance was established in Singapore to address a straightforward need: legal professionals attend a significant number of events each year, but few of those events are designed with the specificity their work demands. Panel discussions are often broad; networking is often unstructured; materials are frequently generic.
The practice was built around the premise that a well-designed programme — one that begins with a single, honest question about current practice — produces a better experience for everyone in the room. Delegates leave with something they can use. Speakers have a clearer brief. Sponsors see a more engaged audience.
We work at the intersection of content and logistics, which means the programme design and the operational delivery are handled by the same team. This reduces friction for organisers and produces a more coherent experience for delegates.
Our work is specific to the legal sector. We do not produce events across multiple industries. That focus allows us to build relationships with practitioners, understand the calendar pressures of legal professionals in Singapore, and develop formats that fit the working rhythms of law firms, in-house teams and industry associations.
What We Stand For
Programme Integrity
The question at the centre of each event shapes every other decision — speaker selection, session order, discussion format. We do not build the programme around a sponsor's preferences.
Sector Depth
Our focus on the legal industry is not a positioning choice — it is a working condition. We engage with practitioners regularly, which informs how we frame topics and structure participation.
Operational Clarity
Clients working with us on larger formats receive clear timelines, defined responsibilities and a single point of contact. We produce written records of decisions and track open items across the planning cycle.
Measured Commercialism
We accept sponsorship and commercial partnerships where they add value without distorting the programme. Where a commercial arrangement would compromise content quality, we decline it.

How We Work
Data Protection
All delegate and speaker data is handled in accordance with Singapore's Personal Data Protection Act. Data is used solely for event management and not retained beyond the relevant programme year.
Production Documentation
Every event is supported by a written production schedule, run-of-show document and post-event record. Partners and sponsors receive formal reporting on delegate engagement and key metrics.
Speaker Preparation
All speakers receive a written brief, session objectives and a pre-event call with the programme team. We do not leave content development to chance or to a generic speaker guide.
Catering & Dietary Management
Dietary requirements are collected at registration and coordinated with the venue. Refreshment quality is treated as part of the delegate experience, not an afterthought.
AV & Technical Quality
AV coordination is managed in-house against a technical specification prepared for each venue. We conduct a production check before each event and maintain contingency procedures for common technical issues.
Commercial Transparency
Sponsorship arrangements are disclosed to delegates in programme materials where relevant. We do not accept arrangements that require us to influence session content on a sponsor's behalf.
Legal Industry Event Production in Singapore
Singapore's legal sector operates across multiple practice areas, firm types and jurisdictions. Practitioners balance client demands, regulatory development and the continuous need to stay current on practice-adjacent topics — technology, risk, operations, workforce. Professional development and knowledge-sharing events sit within this context.
Provenance designs its programmes around the practical constraints of legal professionals: limited discretionary time, a preference for substance over ceremony, and a high bar for the quality of discussion. Our half-day format is built to fit within a working day. Our two-day conference is structured to justify the fuller time commitment through a richer mix of content formats.
For industry associations and training providers, the annual partnership model offers a different value: consistent event rhythm, shared planning resources and a team that understands the community being served. Rather than managing four separate suppliers for four separate events, partners work with a single team that carries context from one event to the next.
Our office at 30 Cecil Street places us in the heart of Singapore's legal and financial district, close to the firms and institutions we serve. Enquiries and partnership discussions are welcome by phone or through our contact form.
